If you're thinking about doing a yoga teacher training in Bali, I can tell you this: it won't just be a wonderful experience—it will be one that changes you.
I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Union Bali in Ubud.
Looking back, that's exactly what it was: intense, challenging, and at the same time incredibly rewarding.

Ubud is a truly special place. Surrounded by rice fields, it offers a unique blend of peacefulness and vibrant energy.
Every morning, my day began with a small ritual: the walk to the shala.
Through the rice fields, in the warm morning air, while everything was still quiet.
That walk alone started to change something within me.
The day begins gently—with Pranayama (breathing exercises) and sometimes a short meditation.
A chance to arrive in your body.
And then it begins.
90 minutes of Vinyasa Flow.
Sweaty, intense, and at times genuinely challenging.
I reached my limits, learned new movements, was corrected, and at the same time encouraged to keep going.
And that was exactly what made the experience so special.
That feeling afterwards—completely exhausted, yet with such a clear mind—is hard to put into words.
After practice, we had breakfast: fresh, vegetarian, and exactly what my body needed.

After that, we went deeper.
During the Alignment classes, we learned to truly understand each pose.
How do I enter it correctly?
How can I support others?
How do I make meaningful adjustments?
It wasn't just about practising yoga—it was about understanding it.
After lunch, we had either Anatomy or Yoga Philosophy.
And even if you think those subjects might be dry, they were fascinating because suddenly everything started to make sense.
Then there were the workshops.
From headstands to Inside Flow, every day brought something new.
Often, they were exactly the things I thought,
"I could never do that."
Spoiler: I could.
The training is intense. Physically and mentally.
You have one day off per week—and you truly need it.
But that is exactly what makes it so valuable.
I didn’t just learn how to structure a yoga class.
I learned how to better understand my body and trust myself more.
And the best part:
This training is suitable for many more people than you might think.
For beginners. For advanced practitioners. For anyone who wants to teach. Or simply for those who want to reconnect with themselves. I originally only wanted to do an intensive retreat.
And in the end, this certification opened doors for me that I never knew existed.
If you are thinking about doing a yoga teacher training in Bali:
Do it.
Not because of the certificate.
But because of what you will learn about yourself.
